¿Quién es C.C. Catch? - C.C. Catch, cuyo nombre verdadero es Caroline Catharina Müller, es una compositora y cantante germano-neerlandesa de música eurodisco. Nació en Oss, Países Bajos, el 31 de julio de 1964. Es reconocida por los sencillos "I Can Lose My Heart Tonight", "Strangers By Night", "Heaven And Hell", "Soul Survivor", "House Of Mystic Lights", "Summer Kiss", "Big Time" y "Silence", entre otros. - - - Significado del nombre de C.C. Catch - C.C. Catch tomó su nombre musical cuando empezó a trabajar con el músico, compositor, productor y cantante alemán Dieter Bohlen, de quien tuvo gran inspiración. El apodo proviene de las primeras letras de su nombre de pila "Caroline Catharina" y la palabra "Catch", que se traduce del inglés como "capturar". - - - Niñez, Juventud y Vida Familiar de C.C. Catch - C.C. Catch nació en Países Bajos, proveniente de una familia de bajos recursos, hija de Catharina Müller y Peter Müller. Se trasladó con su familia a Alemania a finales de los setenta. - - - Inicios de C.C. Catch en la Música - Siendo muy joven, a mediados de los ochenta, C.C. Catch se unió al cuarteto de chicas Optimal, con el que permaneció por un corto periodo. Luego, en esa misma década, empezó a trabajar musicalmente con Dieter Bohlen, quien la guió en sus grabaciones, hasta que en 1995 lanzó su primera canción. - - - Género musical de C.C. Catch - C.C. Catch se ha caracterizado por sus interpretaciones en géneros electrónicos como eurodisco, eurodance y new wave, entre otros. - - - Trayectoria y Legado de C.C. Catch - En 1985 C.C. Catch lanzó "I Can Lose My Heart Tonight", grabado durante su cumpleaños, un sencillo que la llevó a la cima del éxito. Luego siguió el tema "Cause You Are Young". En ese mismo año lanzó su álbum debut "Catch The Catch", cuyos sencillos fueron compuestos, arreglados y producidos por Dieter Bohlen. Entre los que se destacan: "One Night's Not Enough", "Stay", "Jump In My Car" y "You Can Be My Lucky Star Tonight". - - "Catch the Catch" fue certificado platino en Alemania y dorado en España. Según confesó en Internet, tiene un tema favorito del disco "Mi canción favorita es 'Jump in my Car'. Hay una historia misteriosa relacionada con esta canción". - - A mediados del siguiente año, C.C. Catch lanzó, con la compañía discográfica Hansa Record Company, los sencillos "Strangers By Night" y "Heartbreak Hotel". A finales de 1986 estrenó su álbum "Welcome To The Heartbreak Hotel", que ocupó los primeros lugares de Europa. - - Más adelante, en 1987, C.C. Catch estrenó el sencillo "Like A Hurricane", que contiene nueve temas en el estilo synth pop, todas compuestas, arregladas y producidas por Dieter Bohlen. Al siguiente año lanzó una serie de canciones, además del disco "Big Fun", que fue el último editado con Diter Bolen. - - A mediados de 1988 lanzó el disco "Diamonds - Her Greatest Hits", que contiene versiones de vinilo y casete. Del disco se desprenden diez sencillos, destacándose, entre otros "House Of Mystic Lights", "Cause You Are Young", "Soul Survivor", "Heave and Hell" y "Do You Love As You Look". - - En 1989 C.C. Catch estrenó el disco "Hear What I Say", con el apoyo de talentosos artistas y productores como Andy Taylor, exintegrante de la banda británica de estilo neorromántico Duran Duran; Dave Clayton, quien trabajó con George Michael y la banda de rock alternativo U2; además del veterano productor Joe Dwotniak. Aunque el álbum llegó a las listas de éxitos, solo ocupó el puesto 26 en Alemania. - - Durante la década de los noventa, C.C Catch estuvo lanzando las recopilaciones "The Decade Remix", "Back Seat Of Your Cadillac" y Best of '98", además de los sencillos "C.C.
